Working fire in Chicago, 3-7-17

Engine 96 responded to a fire last night (March 7, 2017) at 5858 West Augusta Boulevard. Firefighters quickly deployed two lines, and Truck 29 positioned their main line on the roof. The structure appeared to be an occupied and heavily secured corner store, which made the situation more challenging.

The scene was intense, with thick smoke and limited access due to the store’s security measures. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of nearby residents.
