This is from Josh Boyajian:
Engine 96 responded to a fire last night on March 7, 2017, at 5858 West Augusta Boulevard. Firefighters quickly deployed two lines, and Truck 29 extended their main line to the roof. The fire appeared to be in an occupied and heavily secured corner store, which made the situation more complex.

It's always impressive to see how quickly the Chicago Fire Department responds to emergencies, especially in densely populated areas. These photos give a real sense of the intensity and professionalism shown by the crews on the scene. The corner store was clearly a tough call due to its layout and security measures, but the team handled it well. It’s also interesting to see the different equipment used, like the Rosenbauer ACP-55, which is known for its power and efficiency. Looking at the images, you can tell the fire was significant, and the crews worked hard to bring it under control. The aftermath shows the thoroughness of their work as they continue to monitor the area for any remaining hot spots. Definitely a reminder of the importance of quick response and teamwork in such situations.
