House fire in Buffalo Grove, 10-22-16

This is from Larry Shapiro:

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, just before 8 a.m., firefighters from Buffalo Grove were called to 9 Springside Court due to smoke coming from the basement of a single-family home. Police officers arrived on the scene and reported that smoke was visible at the eaves of the house. BG Engine 26 confirmed the presence of smoke and requested an upgrade to a Code 4 working fire, indicating a more serious situation.

In response, Palatine Engine 82, Long Grove Battalion 55, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Squad 51, Arlington Heights Engine 4, and Arlington Heights Ambulance 4 all arrived, along with Buffalo Grove units that were in the middle of changing shifts. The entire house was filled with thick smoke as firefighters entered the basement and quickly brought the fire under control.
