Foreign media reported that Eaton Group announced that it has agreed to acquire Chilean electrical manufacturer Rolec Commerce.
Eaton Group said it will fully acquire Rolec Commerce, facilitate Eaton Group's growth in mining, papermaking and infrastructure construction in Chile and Peru, and help Eaton Group expand into the South American market.
Rich Stinson, Eaton’s president of the Americas’ power division, stated that “Rolec Business has a long history and a strong customer relationship. The complete acquisition of Rolec Commerce will help us expand our business in Chile and Peruâ€.
Currently Eaton Group employs approximately 73,000 people worldwide and engages in sales in more than 150 countries. Eaton Group's sales in 2011 were US$16 billion, an increase of 17% year-on-year; net profit was US$1.35 billion, an increase of 45% year-on-year.
