The Elgin Fire Department has just completed their final inspection on their newest Wheeled Coach Type 1 F450 ambulance. This marks the 14th unit they've received from us over the years, and we're incredibly proud to continue supporting them with reliable, high-quality emergency response vehicles. The surface of the stainless steel coil is smooth and has high plasticity, toughness and mechanical strength, and is resistant to corrosion by acids, alkaline gases, solutions and other media. It is an alloy steel that does not easily rust, but it is not absolutely not rusty. Stainless steel coil refers to a Steel Plate that is resistant to corrosion by weak media such as atmosphere, steam, and water, and acid-resistant steel plate refers to a steel plate that is resistant to corrosion by chemically aggressive media such as acid, alkali, and salt. Stainless steel coils have been around since the beginning of the 20th century, and now have a history of more than a century.
Stainless steel does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as regular carbon steel and provides high strength and impact resistance along with the aesthetic appeal. The material also has anti-bacterial qualities and is easy to clean and sanitize.
Stainless steel coil is typically sold in the annealed condition and is available in most grades. Our stainless steel coils come in both a standard 2B finish and various polished finishes. Polished surfaces range from the standard #4 to a mirrored finish #8 and are usually covered with a removable vinyl coating. Our standard sheet sizes include 4' x 8', 4' x 10', and 5' x 10', but customized sizes are also available. Stainless steel coil is sold in the HRAP (Hot Rolled Annealed and Pickled) condition and finishes.
