A few days ago, a groundbreaking harvester named "Wisdom Valley God" made its debut at the "Futian Heavy Industry 2006 Business Annual Meeting" prototype exhibition. At first glance, it might seem hard to believe, but the technology on display was truly impressive. I had the chance to visit the command center during the demo, where staff turned on their computers and immediately received real-time data from the GPS system installed on the harvester. On the large screen, an electronic map accurately displayed the harvester's location, latitude, longitude, and the route it was following during the demonstration.
In a simulated troubleshooting scenario, experts in the command center effortlessly performed remote services such as fault diagnosis, guidance, service vehicle coordination, and even issued repair commands—all based on the data uploaded by the machine. This level of integration and responsiveness showcased the advanced capabilities of the system.
According to a technician from Futian Heavy Industry, this is an intelligent harvester equipped with "tentacles," "brains," and "sky eyes." The "tentacles" refer to various sensors like speed, temperature, grain loss, and ground radar sensors. The "brain" is the main control unit located in the cab, featuring a user-friendly screen. The "eyes" are the GPS system, which provides precise location tracking.
During operation, the harvester collects operational data through its "tentacles," processes and stores the information via the "brain," and then transmits it through the "eyes" to the manufacturer’s information center. This allows for real-time interaction between the machine and the call center. The GPS enables accurate determination of the harvester’s location, allowing the center to monitor its status continuously and deliver relevant service information as needed.
When a user requests on-site assistance, there's no need to make a phone call. Simply pressing a button on the harvester’s display sends an immediate request to the call center. Experts can then remotely diagnose the issue, send text-based troubleshooting instructions, or dispatch the nearest service vehicle for quick repairs. Additionally, the system can generate detailed maps and job reports based on user preferences.
The call center can also track the total number of harvesters in a specific region—like Zhumadian in Henan—and guide inter-regional operations to select the most efficient working areas, ensuring maximum profitability.
This innovation marks a major milestone in China’s agricultural equipment industry. It not only represents another significant achievement in Futian Heavy Industry’s independent research and development, but it also sets a new standard for practical and intelligent agricultural machinery in the country. By advancing domestic agricultural technology and promoting high-tech, cost-effective solutions, this development has far-reaching implications for the future of agriculture.
