An ultra-thin bimetal wear-resistant composite material, only 0.8mm thick, has recently been launched by Zhangzhou Hongtai Metal Composites Factory. This innovative product is exclusively designed for electric appliance manufacturers and has undergone rigorous testing at the National Machinery Product Quality Inspection Center. The results show that its performance meets the standards of similar foreign products, making it a viable alternative to imported materials.
The bimetal composite is produced through high-temperature sintering, where a copper powder coating is applied on a steel base. It is widely used in various applications such as side plates for hydraulic oil pumps in engineering machinery, compressors in automotive, marine, and aerospace systems, as well as self-lubricating bushings for household appliances and motorcycles.
To enhance performance, the factory transitioned from single-side pouring to double-sided sintering, achieving balanced wear resistance on both sides. Additionally, they introduced an advanced surface grinding process to further improve durability and address previous limitations in wear resistance. This new technology represents a significant advancement in domestic manufacturing capabilities, positioning the company as a leader in the field of metal composites.
