Yuchai, a leading enterprise in Guangxi's industrial sector, plays a crucial role in driving the region's economic growth. To fully leverage the Yuchai brand and expand its influence, the Guangxi government has initiated plans to develop the Yuchai Industrial Park, strategically located south of the existing production area. The goal is to transform this park into an internationally recognized industrial hub, enhancing the Yulin machinery industry cluster and boosting the city's overall industrial strength.
The development of the Yuchai Industrial Park is not only essential for Yuchai’s own rapid growth but also promotes the concentration of supporting enterprises, forming strong industrial clusters that generate large-scale economic benefits. It also supports urbanization, elevating Yulin's urban image and quality of life. The park aims to become a global center for diesel engine and engineering machinery production, positioning Yulin as the "China Power City."
The layout of the park includes three key functional areas: the engine parts production zone, the engineering machinery project zone, and the logistics and warehousing area. With a total planned investment of 30 billion yuan and expected annual sales exceeding 100 billion yuan, the project is divided into two phases. By 2010, the first phase will see 10 billion yuan invested, with sales surpassing 50 billion yuan, and by 2015, the total investment will reach 30 billion yuan, achieving over 100 billion yuan in annual revenue.
Extensive research and planning have been conducted, and the conditions for construction are now mature. The Yuchai Industrial Park Preparatory Leading Group has been established, and the project is progressing smoothly. The park's development has been integrated into Yulin's economic and social development plan, urban master plan, environmental protection strategy, and land use plan, ensuring coordinated management and long-term sustainability.
On February 27, the park welcomed its first batch of supporting enterprises, including ASIMCO Nanyue (Hengyang) Co., Ltd., Henan Xixia Auto Water Pump Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jiulong Machinery Co., Ltd., Ningbo Isaiah Automobile Air Compressor Co., Ltd., and 22 other companies. These firms signed agreements totaling 610 million yuan in investments, marking a significant step forward in the park's development.
In 2007, Yuchai was honored with the "China Brand Annual Award NO.1" in the internal combustion engine category, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in China's industrial landscape.
