A few days ago, a groundbreaking harvester named "Wisdom Valley God" made its debut at the "Futian Heavy Industry 2006 Business Annual Meeting" prototype exhibition. At first glance, it might seem hard to believe, but what I witnessed was truly impressive. In the command center during the demonstration, staff simply turned on their computers, and immediately, the GPS system installed on the harvester sent real-time data such as the machine's operational status to the command center. On the large screen, an electronic map displayed the exact latitude, longitude, and route of the harvester participating in the demo.
During a simulated troubleshooting demonstration, experts in the command center effortlessly performed remote services like fault diagnosis, guidance, service vehicle scheduling, and even issued repair commands—all based on the data transmitted by the harvester. This level of integration and automation is nothing short of revolutionary.
According to a technician from Futian Heavy Industry, this is an intelligent harvester equipped with "tentacles," "brains," and "sky eyes." The "tentacles" refer to various sensors, including speed, temperature, grain loss, and ground radar sensors. The "brain" is the main control unit located in the cab, featuring a display screen. The "eyes" are the Global Positioning System (GPS), which allows for precise tracking and location monitoring.
Throughout the harvesting process, the "tentacles" collect operational data, which is then processed and stored by the "brain." Finally, the information is transmitted via the "eyes"—the GPS—to the manufacturer’s information center. This enables real-time interaction, allowing the call center to accurately determine the harvester’s location, monitor its performance, and send relevant service information as needed.
If a user requires on-site assistance, they don’t need to make a phone call. Instead, they can simply press a button on the harvester’s display, and the call center will instantly receive the request. Experts can then remotely diagnose the issue, provide troubleshooting instructions via text, or dispatch the nearest service vehicle for immediate repair. Additionally, the system can generate detailed maps and job reports based on user preferences.
Beyond that, the call center can monitor the total number of harvesters operating in a specific region—such as Zhumadian in Henan—and guide inter-regional operations to choose the most efficient working areas, maximizing revenue for farmers. This technology not only improves efficiency but also enhances decision-making through real-time data.
The successful development of this equipment marks another major milestone in Futian Heavy Industry’s independent innovation. As the first practical and intelligent agricultural machine in China, it represents a significant leap forward in domestic agricultural technology. It paves the way for more advanced, high-tech, and cost-effective agricultural solutions, bringing a new era of smart farming to the industry.
