On September 11, 2015, the National Standardization Committee approved the release of the GB/T 32007-2015 National Standard for the Uniform Coding and Identification of Auto Parts, drafted by the China Article Numbering Center and the China Automatic Identification Technology Association. The official website of the Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision was informed that the standard will be formally implemented on January 1, 2016.

The standard stipulates the general principle of coding principles, data structures, symbolic representation methods and their locations for the uniform coding of automotive parts.
