After BYD provided J series electric vehicles and Hualin special vehicles to manufacture sanitation vehicles, BYD will also independently manufacture a miniature electric barreled garbage truck. With a cruising range of 200 kilometers, charging for 1.5 hours, moderate volume, and a single function, it will also be the first independent, system-wide autonomous development of BYD's sanitation cleaning vehicles.

Interestingly, Hualint has been working with Beijing Institute of Technology and Beiqi Foton to develop electric sanitation vehicles since 2010. Beiqi Foton provides traditional vehicle equipment, Beijing Institute of Technology is responsible for the integration of “oil to electricity”, and Hualin Special Vehicle for the special sanitation suite. Until 2014, Hualin special vehicles still use electric vehicles provided by Beiqi Foton to produce sanitation vehicles. Now, Hualin special vehicles began to cooperate with BYD.
