ZTE RFID visualization overall solution unveiled

On March 29th, the 2nd Military Logistics Academic Forum and Equipment Logistics Development and Application Seminar took place at the Beijing Fengtai Armored Force Engineering College. The event attracted high-level representatives from national ministries, the General Armament Department and the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army, as well as leaders from the Chinese Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the China Logistics Association, and the China Logistics Technology Association. In addition, ZTE’s RFID Research Institute, along with leading logistics system integrators and equipment manufacturers, showcased their latest technologies at the exhibition. The military leadership showed a strong interest in ZTE’s products during the event. As one of the few Chinese high-tech companies with independent RFID intellectual property, ZTE RFID captured widespread attention. Their customized visualization solution for military traffic was praised by many experts. Lieutenant Colonel Xu Dong, an experienced military logistics researcher, remarked: “Zhongxing’s solution has addressed the limitations of traditional logistics information collection processes. By leveraging the inherent advantages of RFID technology, it significantly enhances overall logistics efficiency.” Dujiang, Director of ZTE Tianjin Research Institute, delivered a comprehensive presentation on optimizing military logistics. ZTE’s RFID visualization solution has improved operational efficiency across multiple dimensions. It establishes a standardized material information platform, integrates internal and external material data, and uses RFID identification for more precise management, faster response times, simplified scheduling, and better tracking and recycling. Additionally, ZTE utilizes high-protection RFID fixed readers and mobile smart terminals to enable automatic and accurate mass data collection. Low-cost custom electronic tags are used to manage large volumes of military materials, while the platform supports the collection, processing, transmission, and analysis of warehouse information. This includes tracking forklifts and vehicles via RFID tags, as well as monitoring the box-tray relationships in shipments to enhance accuracy. Moreover, ZTE’s RFID solution takes into account the unique security needs of the military. By implementing secure static and dynamic key authentication strategies, and using RFID tags with independent intellectual property, ZTE ensures the safety and confidentiality of military material information. The solution also integrates multiple monitoring systems to optimize critical security points during material operations. ZTE’s Market Engineer demonstrated its software for the Chief of the Army. Through an open, interoperable platform, ZTE customized standard RFID material data formats for the military, batched material identification, and shared internal and external data between the military and suppliers. This boosted procurement, production, and distribution efficiency. Real-time data exchange allowed remote tracking, monitoring, and analysis of batches and inventory, ensuring reliable data flow and delivering expert decision support directly to management. General Wang Zongxi and Dujiang had a cordial discussion during the event. The ZTE RFID military logistics solution presented at the exhibition highlighted the potential of RFID technology in military logistics and related fields, offering new ideas for RFID application development. Other exhibitors also showcased their unique equipment and solutions, contributing to the advancement of military IT capabilities. Yan Weizhong, President of the China Logistics Technology Association and one of the forum organizers, stated: “This forum aims to create a communication platform between the military and manufacturers. With clear military requirements and advanced programs displayed by various companies, we believe this event will become a key hub in the modernization of military logistics, helping to strengthen technological capabilities.”
