Vietnam plans to export rubber 1.5 billion US dollars in 2008

According to the Vietnam News Agency, L. Quang Thung, chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Association, revealed that the international market has a large demand for natural rubber and continues to increase prices, which is very beneficial to rubber exports. In 2008 Vietnam's rubber exports will reach 1.5 billion U.S. dollars.
On January 18, Li Guangyi made the above statement at the 2008 Rubber Planning and Development Conference. He also said: In 2007, Vietnam exported 719,000 tons of rubber, worth 1.4 billion US dollars, the average price of 1946 US dollars / ton. The year-on-year export volume increased by 1.6%, and the export volume increased by 8.8%. In January 2008, the rubber export price was 41 million dongs/ton, which was 8 million dongs/ton higher than in 2007, reaching an unprecedented high price. The association will concentrate its efforts on market research, determine the direction of development of the rubber industry, help companies improve product quality, register and protect national brands of reputable companies, and promote the realization of export goals.
