Talisman Discovers New Offshore Oilfield in Vietnam

According to overseas media reports on January 20, the local Vietnamese media "Tuoi Tre" reported on January 18th that a Vietnamese oil joint venture headed by Talisman Energy, the third largest independent oil producer in Canada, was on the Vietnam Sea recently. A new offshore oilfield with considerable potential crude oil reserves was discovered.
The Thang Long joint operation company, which owns 40% of the shares of PetroVietnam and holds 60% of the shares of Talisman Energy of Canada, said that it was named after Hai Su Den (Black Sea Lion). The results of the oil testing conducted by offshore oil fields showed that the daily crude oil flow of the oil field reached 15,000 barrels.
The “Tuoi Tre” reported that the newly discovered Hai Su Den offshore oil field is located in Block No. 15-2/01, about 60 kilometers from the coast of the Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, a petroleum center in southern Vietnam.
