A few days ago, the single hydrogen production unit with the largest capacity in China started construction in Maoming Petrochemical. This device uses the most mature coal gasification technology in the world to convert coal or coke raw materials into hydrogen. This technology has been successfully applied by Jinling Petrochemical, Qilu Petrochemical, and Nanhua Company under Sinopec.
It is understood that the 200,000 standard cubic meters per hour coal hydrogen production plant is also an important supporting project of the Maoming Petrochemical Refinery Expansion Project. Compared with the conventional dry gas hydrogen production process, the coal-to-hydrogen slurry hydrogen production process of a coal hydrogen plant can save costs by 20 % to 25%.
