Ford Milan's tank business will relocate to Ingrid's new plant

It is understood that Ingerjet Automotive Systems has three subordinate factories in North America. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Plastic Omnium, a plastics auto parts supplier in France. The Milan factory was once part of Visteon. Following Visteon’s complete spin-off from Ford in 2000 as an independent company, according to an agreement reached in 2005, Ford Motor Company agreed to withdraw 23 factories from Visteon through its Automotive Components Holdings company (Milan). The factory is also one of them. Under the agreement, Ingrid will build a new plant in southeast Michigan, USA, and will relocate the fuel tank business of Ford's Milan plant and its many employees from the current site to the new plant within three years. It is reported that the Milan factory employs about 500 people.

The Ford Motor Company's sale of Inland Automotive Systems Inc.'s Milan blow molding tank business in Michigan, Michigan, has ended and trading activity was completed on June 1, 2011.
