Relatively developed countries, the pump industry in China started late. However, people pointed out that China's pump industry may use the advantages of backward development to achieve leaps and bounds.
In the water pump industry, there are many examples of products that realize technological leaps and bounds, such as the double-shell high-pressure boiler feed pump of Shanghai Pump Factory, the slurry pump of Shijiazhuang Pump Factory, the screw pump of Tianjin Pump Machinery Group Co., Ltd., and the like. These products are technically close to international standards. Some companies use advanced foreign technology to transform their own products, in order to achieve technological leaps. For example, Shenyang Pump Factory made use of advanced foreign technology to improve the rigidity of AY-type pump rotor and prevent the use of bite materials. The AY-type pump replaced the Y-pump and occupied most of the domestic oil pump market. In the field of high-tech industries, as long as technically a small step ahead, it is possible to occupy most of the market in this area. Therefore, 20 years of reform and opening up, China's pump industry has achieved technological leaps and bounds, but also only by implementing the technology by leaps and bounds, in order to continue to narrow the gap with developed countries, to catch up with or exceed the advanced level abroad.
