The "Tenth Five-Year" Science and Technology Research Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, titled "160M3 Large-Scale Inflatable Mechanical Agitation Flotation Machine," has recently been successfully developed and completed industrial application tests. This achievement marks a significant milestone, placing China's super-large-scale mineral processing equipment among the world's leading technologies.
Developed independently by the Beijing Mining and Metallurgical Research Institute in collaboration with Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd., after years of dedicated research and innovation, the 160M3 flotation machine has now passed rigorous technical evaluation. Recently, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized a panel of experts to review the project. The committee unanimously confirmed that the equipment's overall performance meets international advanced standards.
Key features of the machine include an impeller with high specific speed and backward-tilted blades, which ensure low pressure head and full slurry suspension, allowing for even particle distribution. The dual foam tank and double push bubble system, combined with a tapered trough design, help reduce the distance of foam transportation and increase foam thickness, resulting in a more stable foam layer. The directional flow air distributor ensures uniform air dispersion and optimal flow path for the aerated slurry mixture. Additionally, the system allows for automatic control of slurry level and aeration, making it easy to operate and highly energy-efficient.
This breakthrough not only enhances China's capability in mining equipment development but also plays a crucial role in advancing the modernization of Chinese mines.
