The BorgWarner electronic butterfly EGR valve consists of a brushless DC motor and a gear train to achieve higher exhaust gas circulation speed and accuracy, as well as more responsive control. Among them, the gear transmission mechanism has proved its robustness and reliability in the turbocharger application. Brushless motors provide better durability and a higher ratio of power to weight. Sensors in the motor provide feedback to a closed-loop control system to accurately position the valve to ensure precise control of the recirculated gas. All key components, including housings and valves, are made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
