What are the safety measures when the single lane is stopped and the ventilation is restored?

When using a local ventilator for single-headway tunneling ventilation, if the local ventilator stops running due to temporary power failure or other reasons, a large amount of gas may accumulate in the single-head roadway. If it is not handled properly, it may cause a gas accident. Therefore, when it is necessary to restore ventilation and power transmission, the following procedures must be followed and necessary safety measures must be taken.

First, it is necessary to check the gas concentration in the wind-stop zone, and confirm that the gas concentration in the wind-flow zone is less than 1% or the carbon dioxide concentration does not exceed 1.5%, and then check the gas concentration in the wind flow within 10 meters of the local fan and its switch. When the temperature is not more than 0.5%, the local ventilator can be manually activated to restore ventilation and power transmission. If the gas concentration exceeds 1% or the carbon dioxide concentration exceeds 1.5% in the air-stop zone, safety measures for removing gas or carbon dioxide must be developed. Eliminate gas or carbon dioxide in the wind zone. The specific measures are:

(1) When discharging gas, gas inspectors should check the gas concentration in the mixed air flow of the single head road and the full wind pressure air flow;

(2) It is necessary to control the wind flow in the air-stop zone (bundle the rope on the air duct on the exhaust side of the wind turbine, tighten or loosen the rope), so that the airflow discharged from the single-head roadway is mixed with the full-wind pressure airflow. Gas or carbon dioxide concentration shall not exceed 1.5%;

(3) When discharging gas, the power supply must be cut off and the personnel should be evacuated in the return air system of the single headway;

(4) When discharging gas, it is strictly forbidden to generate circulating wind in the local ventilator.

It has been verified that the gas concentration in the whole single-lane roadway does not exceed 1%, the oxygen concentration is not less than 20%, and after 30 minutes of stabilization, the gas does not change before the ventilation and power transmission can be restored.
