On April 25, 2008, the US Department of Commerce announced that it was postponing the publication of the preliminary results of anti-dumping investigations on Chinese-made polyethylene shopping bags to August 30, 2008 because August 31 and September 1, 2008 are vacations. The results of the preliminary ruling will be announced no later than September 2, 2008, and the final ruling result shall be announced within 120 days after the announcement of the preliminary ruling.
On May 25, 2007, the U.S. Department of Commerce began an anti-dumping investigation of polyethylene shopping bags from China. The preliminary plan was released no later than May 2, 2008.
