Because of the heat-sensitive problem of food raw materials, that is, poor heat resistance, some foods that cannot be produced by conventional canning methods can produce qualified products by using this patented new processing technology and aseptic filling new line. High temperature and oxygen are important factors that affect the taste, color and nutritional value of finished food products. Now, the new ABC line, which has been successfully designed and researched, can guarantee that the shelf life of the products produced will reach the required 12 months at room temperature, and that the products will not cause any spoilage and deterioration caused by microorganisms during this shelf life. 
In 1999, the project was developed by Ball Packaging Europe, Mennen Ding Food and Serac. In the same year, the research and design of the aseptic filling production line for this beverage can with an annual production capacity of 5 million cans was completed. This new study has successfully demonstrated the fact that aseptic filling of full-layer tanks can be carried out even if the high requirements for high-quality product production cannot be met or met. This ABC operation has been successfully used in Campina InternaTionae for the commercial production of products such as milk beverages. The filling speed is 100 cans per minute, and 20 million cans have been filled so far. 
The so-called aseptic filling refers to the process in which the sterilized beverage is filled into a pre-sterilized container under aseptic conditions, and then the packaging container is sealed in a clean room (Clean Room). For this reason, the following bottleneck (difficult problem) can be expected immediately. During the filling process and after filling, the product is stored without heat sterilization. Moreover, the product must be free of spoilage bacteria and must be refrigerated. 
Therefore, control and proper hygiene management during processing under such manufacturing environmental conditions are very important. One of the necessary conditions is that the clean room and the sealed environment of the container must also remain absolutely hygienic. Aseptic filling is very different from the high temperature autoclaving method of sterilization after conventional filling. The aseptic filling system has now been utilized in the polyester bottle line set up by France's Refresco. 
The core part of the ABC flow line is Serac's filling system. The metal can is composed of a can body and a can lid portion. The can body is sterilized by 210% dry heat after washing. Since the silicone coating of the three-piece can is not resistant to high temperatures, it cannot be treated at this temperature. To this end, another method, namely high frequency induction heating, was used for heat sterilization of the can at 160 °CC. 
The can body is filled in a super clean workshop with a beverage previously sterilized by ultra high temperature (UHT) sterilization. Immediately, the sterile liquid nitrogen is injected into the headspace of the can. A drop of liquid nitrogen immediately changes to nitrogen to occupy the entire headspace, in order to isolate the pollution and invasion of oxygen and fungi.  Then seal with a can roll sealer. This sealing opportunity is often used to create excessive air flow, which can easily cause secondary pollution. Now they have carried out research and development of sealing machines for new processes. However, after the process of filling and filling with liquid nitrogen, the crimping process is immediately performed, which can reduce the risk of such secondary pollution to zero. 
The filling of liquid nitrogen into the top gap has three major functions. Prevents contamination, removes oxygen from the headspace, and forms internal pressure to impart a certain rigidity to the can; compared with PET bottles, metal cans are impervious to oxygen and light, thus extending the shelf life of the product for at least 1 year, during which time Prevent the change of the sensory quality of the product; like the paper container ratio, the canned food is more solid, and it is more suitable for the vending machine sales industry, and the recycling is also very convenient. Metal cans are these characteristics and are very attractive to consumers. 
Although the cost of the ABC production line is the same as that of the high temperature and high pressure sterilization can line and the sterile PET bottle line, the cost of the can itself is lower than that of the heat resistant PET bottle. 
