Wind Turbine Bearing
**Structure of Yaw and Pitch Bearings**
Yaw and pitch bearings are typically designed as single-row ball slewing rings or double-row ball slewing rings with four-point contact. These bearings can be further categorized into those without gears, with internal gears, or with external gears, depending on the gear position. This design ensures smooth rotation and stability under high loads and dynamic conditions.
**Material and Heat Treatment**
The rolling elements in yaw and pitch bearings are manufactured from GCr15 or GCr15SiMn bearing steel, following GB/T 18254-2002 standards. The heat treatment process adheres to JB/T 1255-2001. Alternative materials with comparable or superior properties may also be used.
The bearing rings are made from 42CrMo or other materials that meet technical requirements, as specified by GB/T 3077-1999. After hardening and quenching, the hardness should range between 229HB and 269HB. The raceway hardness after quenching should be between 55HRC and 62HRC, with a sufficient hardened layer thickness to ensure durability and performance.

**Tolerance and Clearance**
The radial and axial clearance for yaw bearings is generally between 0–50μm and can be adjusted according to customer requirements. For pitch bearings, the clearance is typically less than 0.
**Starting Torque**
For specific details regarding starting torque, please consult our Technical Department.
**Lubrication Hole**
Both yaw and pitch bearings are lubricated through a threaded hole with an M10×1 specification. This ensures even distribution of lubricant across the bearing surfaces.
**Seal**
The seals used in yaw and pitch bearings are made of NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) according to HG/T 2811-1996 or better alternatives. We use high-quality, globally recognized seals to ensure reliable performance and long service life.
**Spacer and Cage**
Our yaw bearings feature self-lubricating spacers that help maintain optimal lubrication, especially when oil distribution is uneven. This helps reduce friction and wear between the rolling elements and raceways.
For pitch bearings, we use an integrated steel cage that offers a compact design, allowing more balls to be accommodated, which increases load capacity. Compared to traditional segmented cages, the integrated design is easier to assemble and provides greater stability and reliability.
**Preservative Treatment**
Except for the grooves and gears, all other surfaces of the yaw and pitch bearings undergo thermal spraying anti-corrosion treatment, following GB/T 9793-1997 and GB/T 8427-1996. If zinc coating is applied, its thickness should be at least 160μm. Other corrosion protection methods may be used if they meet the machine's performance requirements.
