2-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 1-17-23

The Chicago Fire Department responded to a high-priority fire at a one-story commercial warehouse on the West Side of the city on Tuesday morning. The blaze occurred in a building located on the 4500 block of West Fulton Street, and it quickly escalated into an extra-alarm situation.
The fire burned for over an hour before crews were able to bring it under control around 7:45 a.m. More than 100 firefighters were deployed to the scene, and while no one was inside the building at the time, the structure suffered significant damage, including the collapse of its roof.
The business that once occupied the space was American Masonry and Supply, and the company's representative was present on the scene. Fire officials confirmed that the fire remained contained within the warehouse and did not spread to nearby buildings.
No injuries were reported, and there were no evacuations. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by local authorities.
