Working fire in Chicago, 12-13-20

Photos from a working fire that occurred early Sunday morning (December 13th) at 722 West 71st Street. The fire was in an empty, 25x40 two-story frame house. The main part of the fire was in sector "C" and spread across both floors as well as the attic. Engine companies 54 and 47, along with Ladder Companies 20 and 30, worked on the scene for over an hour before being relieved.

These images provide a real-time look at the scene, showing the intensity of the flames and the efforts of the firefighters who responded quickly to the call. The home, which had been vacant, posed a challenge due to its size and the fact that the fire had already spread through multiple levels. Firefighters worked hard to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties.
