Working fire in Chicago, 12-13-20

Photos from a working fire that took place early Sunday morning on December 13th. The incident occurred at 722 West 71st Street. The fire was in an empty, 25x40 two-story frame house. The main fire was in sector “C†and spread across both floors as well as the attic. Fire units 54 and 47, along with ladder companies 20 and 30, worked on the scene for over an hour before being relieved.

These images give a glimpse into the intensity of the fire and the efforts made by the firefighters to contain it. The home, which had been vacant, was completely engulfed, making it a challenging situation for the crews on the scene.
