What is the working principle of the jaw crusher? How many types are there?

The jaw crusher, also known as the Tiger's mouth, appeared in 1858 and is suitable for crushing hard and medium hard materials. When the material is added to the crushing chamber of the jaw crusher (the space consisting of the fixed jaw and the movable jaw), the material is squeezed when the moving jaw is close to the fixed jaw due to the periodic reciprocating swing. Broken by the action of splitting and breaking. When the moving jaw leaves the fixed jaw, the material that has been broken to less than the discharge port is discharged from the lower discharge port by its own weight. The material that is not completely broken on the crushing chamber also falls to the lower part of the crushing chamber, and is again crushed by the pressing, splitting and breaking of the seesaw.

Many are only two kinds of jaw crusher, but used in our mineral processing plant:

(1) Simple swing jaw crusher; see Figure 3(a)

(2) Complex oscillating jaw crusher; see Figure 3(b)
