The Institute of Optoelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully developed the first full-position gyro north seek solver in China

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] Recently, Dr. Wang Dazhi, the General Research Office of the Institute of Optoelectronics Microelectronics, successfully developed the first full-position gyro-based north solver in China with the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

All-position gyro north seek solver
The gyro north seeker is an autonomous north seeking inertial meter and is mainly used to determine the azimuth datum that the specific system aims and measures. The conventional gyro north seekers are required to work in the horizontal state, and they cannot find the north when they are tilted. This forms a traditional work mode of “first leveling and then seeking north”. However, leveling is time-consuming and laborious, especially for high-precision, rapid leveling of large-scale vehicle platforms. For a long time, people have been devoted to the development of a leveling system with better performance and higher precision, but the effect is not ideal.
The research team of the Institute of Optics and Electronics has taken the initiative to adopt the innovative approach of “not leveling and direct seeking for the North” and broke through the traditional mode of “norm leveling and afterward seeking” to find the north instrument. The successful development can achieve precision in large tilt range. North-seeking full-finger gyro north seek solver. The successful development of this instrument has filled the technical gap in the domestic northward tilting search. It is a major technological advancement in the field of inertial north seeking and is of great significance to the realization of high-precision motorized aiming and measurement in China.
At present, the project team is actively promoting the further application of the instrument and promoting the technical transformation of relevant results.

Compared with Refrigerant Dryer, the advantage of adsorption dryer is its drying performance is beter, but its disadvantage is this kind of dryer consumes compressed air, which makes operation power consumption bigger.
