The “Eleventh Five-Year” project of Guangzhou Machinery Institute passed the acceptance

This project is mainly aimed at supporting the needs of large-scale hydro-generating units, coal mining machinery, metallurgical equipment, and nuclear power equipment. Research has been conducted on seal theory, materials, structures, manufacturing processes, quality control, and performance testing to form a finite element auxiliary seal. Structural optimization, elastic compensation design of sealing structure, large non-die seal ring turning machining, constant low friction and pressure resistant ultra-large PTFE combined sealing processing, super-large seal performance testing and high-performance nuclear main pump mechanical seal six core technology. During the implementation of the project, a high-performance hydraulic turbine generator set, coal mine hydraulic support, and AGC cylinder combination seals were developed, industrialization demonstration bases were established, and good economic benefits were achieved; 17 national patents were applied, including invention patents. In particular, the three innovative achievements of the project are of great significance to the realization of the localization of major key components such as large-scale hydro-generator units, large-scale fully-mechanized coal mining machinery, and large-scale metallurgical equipment. The high-performance major equipment rubber and plastic seals developed by this project have reached the level of imported similar products with comprehensive performance and service life. The technology is at the leading domestic level, and some of the technologies have filled the domestic gap and have achieved significant economic and social benefits.
