Seal installation:
The 1 axis and the cavity must be strictly cleaned. No rust, sand, dust, etc., are allowed. At the same time, it is blown with compressed air.
2 Apply grease to the mounting cavity and shaft surface.
3 Confirm that the contact surface between the lips and the shaft is flawless.
4 Cautions when installing the oil seal into the chamber.
Note 1: When installing the outer oil seal, apply a sealant after the cavity is cleaned.
NOTE 2 When the shaft is inserted into the lip of the oil seal, protective measures must be taken to prevent the lip from being pulled during splines or threads during installation and grease should be applied.
Oil seal storage:
The life of rubber seal products is largely influenced by environmental factors such as oxygen, odor, temperature, humidity, and the like. Therefore, their proper storage is very important. If the rubber is stored properly, the performance of the rubber product will hardly change for a long period of time (several years). The room for rubber products should be kept clean, dry, dust-free and well ventilated. The temperature is maintained between +20°C~10°C. Otherwise it will lead to shortened service life. Oil seals must be stored in a dry and ozone-free and dark environment, and should be placed horizontally in their original packaging. Indoor relative humidity ≤ 65%. The interior curtains should be red or orange. Never use blue curtains and prevent UV light. Electrical equipment and other devices that generate ultraviolet and high voltage electric fields must not be placed indoors. It is recommended to store according to DIN 7716 or ISO 2230.
