From the Momence Fire Protection District Facebook page:
We're excited to introduce our brand-new Brush 95! The Momence Fire Department officially received the new brush truck on Saturday, October 21st. This state-of-the-art unit was built by 1st Attack Engineering Inc. in Indiana. Brush 95 is a 2017 Ford F-550 equipped with a 300-gallon water tank, a 350-GPM Darley fire pump, dual man-wells behind the cab, and front spray nozzles.
This replacement vehicle replaces an older Chevy 3500 that had been in service for almost 20 years, featuring a smaller 250-gallon tank and a 200-GPM pump. The new Brush 95 meets all current NFPA standards for brush and wildland firefighting equipment.
Some of the key upgrades include improved ground clearance, front spray nozzles for better control, "Man-Wells" for enhanced safety, Rigid scene lighting, a 5-gallon foam cell with a Scotty inductor, and well-lit storage compartments. These features make Brush 95 a more efficient and safer tool for our firefighters during wildland emergencies.
