The Elk Grove Village Fire Department has recently acquired a new Pierce Velocity 100-foot rear-mount tower ladder from Pierce. This model comes equipped with a pump and water tank, marking the first time in many years that the department has added such a unit to its fleet. The new apparatus is set to enhance the department’s ability to respond to high-rise fires and other complex incidents.

In other news, Elk Grove Village Fire Department is planning to acquire a small squad vehicle to be stationed at Station 7 alongside the new tower ladder. This unit will serve as a jump company, specifically designed to handle EMS responses more efficiently. The addition of this unit reflects the department's ongoing commitment to improving emergency services and response capabilities for the community.
