Cubestormer 3 World Record Restores Rubik's Cube in 3.253 Seconds

Two engineers from England spent 18 months to create the Cube Storm Cube Cube. The robot only needs 3.253 seconds to restore the Rubik's cube, breaking the 5.55 second world record created by Dutchman Mats Valk last year.

Cubestormer 3 uses the ARM chip of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone as its brain. The robot is equipped with multiple engines, accelerators, and robotic arms.
David Gilday, one of the Cubestormer 3 developers, said: “We know that Cubestormer 3 may break the existing world record, but robots perform physical operations faster than human eyes can see. There is always a risk. Finally, we spent a couple of hours perfecting the robot and ensuring that the engine and the smart phone were correctly synchronized. Our biggest challenge now is to study whether we can make it faster."
In addition to breaking the robot's fastest record of the Rubik's Cube, Gilday said they also intend to create two other new records, namely the cracking of the 4×4×4 standard Rubik's cube and the 9×9×9 extremely difficult rubik's cube.
