Harvey firefighters responded to a second-alarm house fire at 192 E. 157th Street yesterday afternoon (January 22, 2015). The scene was intense, with heavy flames visible from the second floor despite crews working hard to contain the blaze. Josh Boyajian and Tim Olk captured some powerful images of the incident.
Josh shared his experience: "We arrived at the scene after coming from Merrionette Park, which took a bit of time. When we got there, Harvey was already on the first floor fighting the fire, but there was still significant smoke and flames coming from the second level. The structure's layout made it challenging for crews to fully knock down the fire, but they managed to prevent it from spreading to the neighboring house to the east. Here are some of my shots."

The images show the severity of the fire, including a house fully engulfed in flames, firefighters working under heavy smoke, and a brave firefighter carrying a dog to safety. Additional photos by Tim Olk capture the aftermath, with thick smoke rising from the burned structure and emergency personnel on the scene.
