Firefighters from several departments in the northern and northwestern suburbs recently had a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills through specialized training on propane fires. These sessions provided hands-on experience and helped crews better prepare for real-life emergencies involving flammable liquids.

Tim Olk was present at the training event held in Highland Park, where firefighters from Glencoe, Highland Park, Libertyville, and Lake Bluff participated. The exercises focused on managing liquid propane fires, offering a realistic scenario for the teams to practice their response strategies.

Larry Shapiro covered the training session in Buffalo Grove, where departments including Wheeling, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Mundelein, and Libertyville came together for a collaborative exercise.
