The 3rd Asian Brands Festival, sponsored by Asia's International Brand Management Supervision and Administration Center (Hong Kong) and the Research Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, with support from various United Nations-related research institutions and media, took place on September 9, 2008 at the Hong Kong Disneyland International Conference Center. The event unveiled the latest rankings of the "Top 500 Asian Brands" for 2008. The ranking system evaluated brands based on four key dimensions—market performance, development potential, quality level, and benefit level—and ten specific indicators such as brand age, internationalization, marketing mix, brand awareness, total asset growth, innovation ability, after-sales service, quality, operating income, and net profit. These metrics ensured a more scientific and objective evaluation process. Shaanxi Auto’s inclusion in the Top 500 Asian Brands and its recognition as the "Asian Brand Innovation Champion" have drawn widespread attention.
