Seven General Plastics are in different supply conditions

In recent years, many synthetic rubber companies have significantly expanded their capacity, and domestic general rubber production capacity has grown rapidly. The development of the capacity of basic synthetic rubber varieties may have excess production capacity, and some serious production shortages require two levels of differentiation. The new construction and expansion of plastics such as styrene-butadiene rubber are large, and the production capacity is likely to greatly exceed the consumption level in the domestic market, while the market share of ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber and isoprene rubber will remain very low.

At the fifth session of the second session of the China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association held last week and 18 industry conferences, Hu Jie, executive vice president of the association stressed that synthetic rubber companies must fully understand the trends of upstream and downstream development and changes in demand. Market demand-oriented development of synthetic rubber, strengthen the coordinated development of enterprises, reduce blind competition.

It is understood that with Shanghai Gaoqiao 100,000 tons/year polybutadiene-butadiene rubber (including 40,000 tons of styrene-butadiene rubber) device and Yangzi Jinpu 100,000 tons/year milk polybutadiene-butadiene rubber device completed and put into operation, domestic styrene-butadiene rubber The total production capacity has reached 685,000 tons. Together with Bridgestone and Lanhua's latex polybutadiene-butadiene rubber (SBR) units currently under construction and the planned Qilu petrochemical SBR plant, the domestic SBR production capacity will reach approximately 93 million tons in 2008, and market competition will increase. Suddenly increased.

Hu Jie said that in 2010, the total domestic SBR production capacity will reach 1.15 million tons, and the demand will be around 1.1 million tons. If the domestic synthetic rubber market share reaches 80%, about 23% of the SBR production capacity will face excess. In addition, other Asian countries are also expanding the production capacity of styrene-butadiene rubber and exporting to China a large number each year. Therefore, domestic styrene butadiene rubber production enterprises should carefully expand their energy and make greater efforts to improve product quality, reduce production costs, increase competitiveness, and satisfy customers' individual needs.

In terms of supply of butadiene rubber, the domestic consumption in 2006 was 576,000 tons, and the current production capacity was 465,000 tons. In the first half of this year, the import volume was 113,000 tons. Although butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber have a certain degree of interchangeability in some product areas, the domestic market price of butadiene rubber is much higher than that of styrene-butadiene rubber, indicating that there is a certain gap in the market of butadiene rubber. In particular, butadiene rubber modified with high-impact polystyrene is almost completely imported. Therefore, it is still necessary to appropriately develop butadiene rubber and increase the product varieties that are urgently needed in the market.

Neoprene produced 49,000 tons in 2006 and imported 23,000 tons. Due to the tight supply of neoprene in the international market and the sharp decline in domestic imports and tightening of domestic supplies, the Sino-Asian joint venture project of Shanxi Synthetic Rubber Group should be stepped up and completed and put into production as soon as possible. At the same time, the domestic neoprene plant technology process should be further improved. Make product structure adjustments.

The import volume of ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber and butyl rubber is much higher than the current domestic production. The market share of domestic rubber is only 20% to 30%. Domestic enterprises should seize the opportunity to accelerate development and increase product market share. rate.

Isoprene rubber has not yet achieved industrial production in the country. It imported 38,000 tons in the first half of this year. Its raw materials and market conditions are now mature, and the process of industrialization should be accelerated.
