New ambulance for the Hammond FD
Congratulations to Chief Jeff Smith and the entire team at the Hammond Fire Department on their recent acquisition of two new Road Rescue UltraMedic ambulances. These state-of-the-art units are built on 2022 International MV chassis and feature a 170-inch all-aluminum walk-thru module with 72 inches of interior headroom. The ambulances come fully customized with a range of advanced features designed for both efficiency and comfort.
Equipped with Road Rescue’s standard all-aluminum interior cabinetry and a whisper-quiet sound-deadening thermal insulation system, these ambulances also include 6-inch dropped skirts, integrated rear chevron lighting, Pioneer LED scene lighting, and a Brigade 360-degree overhead view camera system. They also feature Stryker Performance Load Cot Systems, ensuring smooth and safe patient transport.
In terms of safety, the units are equipped with Per4Max seatbelt restraint systems, fully CN-10 compliant cabinet doors, a safety net at the head of the squad bench, and a LiquidSpring Suspension System for enhanced ride quality and patient comfort. These high-end features, combined with Road Rescue’s proven engineering, are sure to serve the busy Hammond Fire Department for years to come.
