Domestic tire pressure Shanda foreign tire brand continues to expand in China

Since 2018, the production capacity of foreign brand tires in China has continued to expand. According to incomplete statistics, the annual production capacity of foreign tire companies in China's semi-steel tires reached 260 million.

Foreign tire brands continue to expand in China

The following are some of the foreign brand expansion plans:

Michelin has two bases in Shanghai and Shenyang. Among them, the Shanghai base is strengthening the transformation of the old factory, and has the conditions for expansion. The current annual production capacity is 8 million semi-steel tires; the Shenyang base accelerated the pace of semi-steel tire expansion in June 2018, and began environmental protection transformation. The current annual production capacity is 10 million semi-steel tires and 1.8 million all-steel tires.

Goodyear is expanding its domestic semi-steel tire production line. It is estimated that by 2020, the annual production capacity of semi-steel tires will increase by 5 million to 17 million. Its annual production capacity of all steel tires is 1 million.

The domestic factory of Continental Horse Tire has been continuously expanded. It is estimated that by 2020, the annual production capacity of semi-steel tires will increase by 8 million to 20 million.

Pirelli tires were acquired by China National Chemical Corporation and have two production bases in Zhangzhou and Jiaozuo in China, with an annual output of 10.5 million semi-steel tires. Not long ago, the company invested in the newly-launched Jining Shenzhou tire, which is designed to have an annual production capacity of 10 million semi-steel tires.

Sumitomo Rubber's Hunan plant is expanding production. It is expected to reach 9 million semi-steel tires in 2018, with an annual production capacity of 22 million.

In addition, foreign brands such as Youke Haoma and Cooper also have plans to increase the capacity of semi-steel tires in Chinese factories.
